Istanbul in the light of day…Outside, in the courtyard of Fahri Ergün’s farm, an important rule is written down: “Turkish is forbidden!” Every day, all the Dimili speakers who come to this farm gather, perform the ritual of sacrificing an animal, sit together, and here, everyone speaks only in their mother tongue, Dimili. In Istanbul, a place like this has become a unique and special space where a language under threat of extinction can find a voice and survive.
