Zîlan Hemo

Zîlan is a talented director and screenwriter from Kobanî. Since 2017, she has combined her passion for Kurdish literature and cinema, which she studied at The Academy of the Arts, to tell stories with deep cultural and human sensitivity. After shortfilms like The Sleep of Death and My Name Is on a Stone, she now debuts with her first feature-length documentary. The film follows a traveling cinema that visits villages, bringing the magic of film to remote communities.
