Short Film Competition – Call for Entries!

The 16th Kurdish Film Festival Berlin invites filmmakers to submit their works for this year’s short film competition.

📅 Submission Period: Now open until August 2026

🎥 We are looking for short films produced in 2025 or 2026 with a maximum running time of 20 minutes in the following categories:

Fiction

Documentary

Animation

Experimental

📌 🟡🔴🟢 Theme: Stories told from a Kurdish perspective and/or films that focus on Kurdish themes, experiences, and realities.

We look forward to receiving a wide range of submissions and discovering new cinematic voices and perspectives from around the world.
