Jasna Krajinovic
Jasna Krajinovic was born in Slovenia. In 1992, after studying French and English
literature at Ljubljana Faculty of Arts and Philosophy, she entered the Academy for Theatre and Cinema, where she stayed for two years. She then moved to Brussels (Belgium) where she studied film directing at the National Institute of Performing Arts (INSAS). Since graduating in 1999, she devotes her life to independent
filmmaking.

2002/3 - Saya & Mira, feature documentary. A story of an old lady and a young girl,
both searching for their homes after the war in Bosnia. Coproduced with Arte
France and selected in many European festivals.
2006 - Two sisters, feature documentary. This film deals with the ever-present
danger of land mines on the border of Kosovo and Albania and the deep love
connecting two sisters, a love that gives them courage to overcome their fear. The
film took part in festivals all around Europe, as well as in Canada and Vietnam and
received these documentary prizes: Mention Spéciale du jury, Ecocinema film

2008 - Damian's Room, feature documentary. Damian committed a crime at the
age of 15. The filmmaker meets him five years later and follows last months of his
life in prison and his first months of freedom. The film offers a sharp view into
Slovenian society. Selected in festivals all over Europe and granted some first

2012/13 - Summer with Anton, feature documentary. The film follows Anton, a 12
year old boy in Russia who spends his summer holidays in a military camp for
children. With every movement, every gesture, the child vanishes and the soldier is

2016/17 - The Empty Room, feature documentary.
Sabri was only 18 when he left for Syria, throwing his family in unbearable suffering
because of his absence. Saliha, his mother decided to speak up, to take action.
The film follows her story and that of other families who fight together the jihadi

2017 - My daughter Nora, short documentary. Nora was 18 when she joined jihadi
in Syria. Since then, her mother is torn in between the hope of seeing her again
and fear of loosing her forever. 2 special mentions and a woldwide festival
selection.
